Hazard Mitigation Plan – Public Outreach Survey

You may also scan the QR code below to access the survey. You will be asked to answer a few simple questions about your level of concern for natural hazards in your area and any preparedness actions you have taken or may be taking to prepare for a disaster.
Natural hazards include, but are not limited to:
- Extreme heat, cold, wind
Hazard mitigation is the effort to reduce the loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters. By understanding what natural hazards we face in Calaveras County and how those hazards can impact our county by damaging or destroying property or injuring people, we can look for ways to protect people and property from the impact of these hazards. We can accomplish this through projects that can help protect people and property.
The State and Federal government provide funding for these types of projects, but only if we take the time to consider how these hazards impact us and how we can protect against them. We must include the whole community in this effort as we develop a comprehensive Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. This is why we are asking you to complete this survey to help us understand what natural hazards concern you most and how we can assist the community to prepare for and respond to these hazards.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey. Your assistance and interest in your community is greatly appreciated.
